Mogster, Washington- Dazee and Pixee

Hi Angel and Michael,

I thought I would give you an update on the girls. Both pups have adjusted to their new home, and are sleeping all night.  They spend most of there time playing with each other or sleeping.  They are very happy to see me when I get home, and have to come over and get in the afternoon chew.  They are still at that age where everything is a puppy chew toy.  Fortunately, their favorite thing to chew on is each other. We named the new pup Pixee ,and kept the other one as Dazee.  They both know there names, but if you call one you get both.  We are both (Karen and I) glad we kept them together.  This way they both have someone to play with that they have known since birth.  That and they are so much fun to watch when they are playing.

In his new home:

Hi Angel and Michael,

We want to let you know that Charlie is a Wonderful puppy! He is everything that we wanted and more. So lovable and sweet and very smart. Everyone that meets him thinks he is so adorable. We are working on sitting and fetching right now and he has that nailed. He rides in the car so nice and he has gone for two walks and he is doing very well.

He is the Best puppy that we have ever had! We might want another one from your next litter.

Thank you so much.

Tommy now Ruffles, San Franscisco, CA

Hello Michael and Angel,

Thanks for keeping in touch. We were just thinking about you and wanted to get in touch. Must be some kind of ESP!

Ruffles is very well adjusted to our family, everyone dotes on him like crazy. He is quite intelligent, and is training well too. He learned to sit, lie down, and shake hands when he was 12 weeks old. Now we take him to a class for puppy training. He is socializing well with other dogs in the class. Can't take him out yet on walks, or anywhere else, since his last vaccines are not over yet. He is well potty-trained, but just started his crate training now. Within two days he seems to have settled down with the crate too, albeit after some howling. He sleeps at night in our daughter's room, and, knock-on-wood, does not touch anything in the room though he can if he wants to. In the morning he is awake before her, but won't disturb her at all. He sits quietly and patiently waits for my wife to take him down for breakfast.

Hi Angel, I thought you'd like an update on Kirby and Emma from Star's litter.  They are doing great!  They spend a lot of time flushing birds and chasing butterflies when they aren't chasing each other or digging holes. They are already good swimmers and we're having a hard time keeping them out of the creek.  Kirby is no longer shy, and he loves having his picture taken.  Emma is the scamp and never stays still long enough to pose for a picture.  They are both expert escape artists and can get over, under or through any gate.  They've mastered sit, lay down, and come (if they want to. . .just like any good Springer).  We are still working on stay and shake

Chase- Puppy from Archie and Libby, delivered to Southern Ca.

Hi there Angel,

Chase is doing GREAT and getting bigger every day!  He's probably about 35 lbs. now - I don't know exactly, because he goes back to the vet in about two weeks, and hasn't been for about three weeks.

He is honestly the best dog we have ever had - and I have to say that our Golden is a total doll, so that shows you how wonderful this boy really is.  His favorite things are 1. food; 2. walks on the beach trails; 3. sitting in laps (he thinks he still weighs 10 lbs.!) and 4. riding in the car - and only the front seat will do  :)

We have been told by many people who have had experience with Springers how lucky we are to have a dog with the sweet personality that Chase exhibits.  He is mellow by both Springer and by puppy standards.  Our six year old Golden is actually more hyperactive than this pup!  He does very well in his crate when he sleeps at night, he was potty trained very early, and he is not destructive in any way.  He doesn't jump on furniture, won't chew anything other than his toys, and doesn't bark excessively.  He waits patiently in a "sit" for his food, and allows us to take it from him during meal time - no food aggression.  He is gentle with all people and all dogs.   He is so very smart, there are times when we actually have to spell things around him when we need to confer our plans (especially when it comes to planning to take a W-A-L-K, or going in the C-A-R).

I must say that we were warned about Springers being crazy/wild before we had Chase - and we have yet to see a single characteristic in him that is anything but loving and obedient!

Here are some pictures.

Thanks,

Sue

Just thought I'd send along another updated picture of our "baby" Chase. He's almost a year old now - and 61 lbs.!   A big boy. He is still the happiest, most relaxed and playful, and brightest dog we have ever had.   His personality is so much like your Archie's.  He's our treasure.

Thanks again!

Sue

This is Cody, from Libby and Archie 2007. He is over 70 pounds and has a great life.

Hard to believe it's been over 2 years since we brought Darby (aka: "Sassy") back to Idaho after meeting with you in Reno.  I apologize for not providing some interesting updates on Darby's life, but suffice it to say that she has been a great addition to our family.  My wife and 4-year old son, Colton, continually enjoy her gentle, playful nature, and of course I feel fortunate to have such a willing and able hunting companion.  Although our schedules haven't allowed as much bird hunting as I'd prefer (can there ever be too much?), Darby has successfully flushed and retrieved pheasant, quail and grouse as I knew she would.  Overall, we couldn't be happier with her.

Amy, John, Hardy, and Boo in Memphis, TN-Buzz Lightyear-Archie/Sophie 2007

  Buzz and his "sister" Boo

Buzz is doing great. Boo, our Boykin spaniel, has really taken up with him. Buzz of course loves her too. They play together very well. A great pair. Took Buzz in for his 10 week shots last week. Everyone at the vet was so excited to see him. They thought he was precious. The vet was impressed with him and told us we were going to be very happy with him. Looked like a great quality dog. This we thought we knew but it is always nice to hear. He did great at the vet too. Just curled up in my lap while waiting and didn't cry or yelp during his shot

Just wanted to let you know how Buzz is doing......GREAT!!!! He is already over 20 pounds and not 4 months. Vets love him and of course we do too. He and Boo play very nicely and love each other very much. Attached is a picture of the 2 after a play this morning.

PS Buzz is really smart.

Maddie- Alton, Illinios- Sophie/Archie 2008

Hi  Mike and Angel-We tried to send you pictures of Maddie but was not
sure if it went through.  Maddie is doing great.  She has already learned most
of her obedience and has started her formal classes for socialization.  The
instructor was impressed with her. Maddie and Abby are best
friends
.  Today was Maddie's first trip hunting. She found and flushed 4
chuckar's.  We all love her very much and she has been a great addition to our
family.

Brandi and Bender adopted together

Bender is really doing great in the field.

Just thought I would send you a couple of the latest photos of Bender and Brandi since they are both now out in the field. Bender seems to be only getting better and better out there and Brandi is slowly but surely picking up the pace.  They are working pretty well as a team and all of us are quite impressed with them.

Barklee:  We purchased Flash, who was Star and Archie's 12th pup.  I remember my wife and I seeing his photo at 5 or 6 weeks on your website and just falling in love with him.  We called and made arrangements with you to purchase him and we have been truly delighted with him since day one.  We named him Barklee and he has been without a doubt the best dog we have ever had.  He is cute, smart and has a great personality.  He is now about a year and one-half and about 45 lbs.  He is really a handsome little guy and people who see him are constantly remarking about what a beautiful dog he is.  I take him running and walking with me and people regularly stop to admire him.  He turns lots of heads.  He is a healthy and energetic dog who loves people.  He is doing very well except for an umbilical hernia that I think was congenital.  It doesn't bother him, but we are having it repaired in the next month or so.  Other than that, he is healthy, happy and affectionate.  He shows his love for his family constantly.

Belle/Maverick 2008-

Update on Mocha
Mocha (priorly Cinderella) is the baby of our family.  She has become part of the family in such a short time, we could not have planned a better companion and is a typical velcro springer.  She won't put up with someone leaving the room, she will follow you around the house, only to find someone sitting down that she can come sit next to.   She has been earning her keep by being our children's alarm clock on school days.  She jumps all over them in bed and burrows under the covers to get them up.  Only problem that really isn't much of one, is that she still gets horribly car sick, can't take her to even pick up the kids at school less than 5 minutes away.  Vet visits are so much fun, but we have learned to pack blankets and towels knowing she will throw up 2-3 times each direction.  We sure hope that she outgrows this.  She gets along well with our 2 black cats, loves to swim nearly every day in the lake and take long walks around the neighborhood.  She mauls (tries to play with) and slobbers the older cat, Damien 15 yrs, he is just puts up with it for a few minutes then runs away.  He used to sleep with our past springers, even nursed on them, years a go, though nothing was there.  The 2yr old cat, Vixen rubs up agains Mocha when the mood hits her?!  Both cats like to lay in Mocha's bed on cold days, she doesn't seem to mind.  Over the summer Mocha enjoys sailing  and bbqs on the patio boat on our little lake, luckily no motion sickness there, but get her on the skiboat and oh no!  Mocha has a wonderful life, spoiled to the max.  See pictures of my daughter Megan and Mocha in front of the tree and Mocha walking in the snow not too long ago here
.

2009 Puppies-

Sophie/Archie

Sugar- our most watched girl

Hi Angel,

Just wanted to give you an update on our precious Maggie May!  She is just great and we are having the best time.  Maggie has a wonderful disposition – loves to be with the family and her “kids”.  She adjusted without any problem and has done very well with her crate and puppy training.  What a smart dog and just wants to please everyone!  We quickly realized (without much choice!) that Maggie loves the water – she has been swimming since we brought her home!  Now that she is 4 months, we have been taking her to the river and she is in heaven! We constantly receive compliments on how beautiful she is – we agree!  Here are some pictures of Maggie - feel free to add to your website. We feel so fortunate to have such a well adjusted dog with a warm and wonderful disposition!  Just what we wanted and honestly couldn’t ask for anything better!!

Hannah and Archie's first litter:

Gunner AKA Christmas5 weeks old! 8 months old participating in 4-H dog group with bro Tiny!

Hi Angel,

I just wanted to check in with you and let you know that the girls are doing wonderfully.  They adjusted to us and their new home immediately and have been thriving!  We took them to our vet on the 7th and they were completely impressed and asked which breeder they had come from...thought they were exceptional little girls - even with their little underbites.  We've noticed the past few days that they are developing their sense of smell and using their noses much more than before.  When they are outside they aren't just looking around...they are working over the entire yard and sniffing every bit of it.  Starting to become real Springers!

They don't like to be apart from each other at all and spend the majority of their time side by side.  Their personalities are continuing to develop and they are just so much fun.  Stan has been working with them and they will sit in front of him and wait patiently when he whistles.  They try to one up each other and will keep scooting up a bit so that they are the one in front, which gets me rolling with laughter and messes with their concentration a bit.  Stan has a quail wing that he's attached to a string that they "hunt".  They will chase him with that thing until he gets tired and quits.  They are starting to find things he hides for them by sniffing, so that is the new game.

I just wanted to tell you I enjoyed meeting your husband last night. I am very glad I chose to buy with Top Gun. Kirby is already exceeding my expectations. He is super cool! He's my shadow. And I have never seen such a young dog retrieve so well. He makes my parents 3 yr old lab look dumb. I will put together so pictures over the next few months to send you for your puppy brag book. Thank you so much for letting in to my life. Ryan

I just wanted to forward you some recent pictures of Chester. He is doing great with us. We love him to pieces! He is growing fast. He knows how to sit and loves to play fetch. He got some Christmas toys in his stocking from Santa.
Thanks so much for bringing him to us! Trina, Steve, Megan and Rachel

Pepper's 2009 Litter:

Hi Angel,
Sierra is just over 4 months old now and 21lbs. She is so special! She is such a  beauty, people are always asking me where I got her, the vet loves her and can not get over the quality of her beautiful markings and soft coat, and her perfect bite. She is very smart and oh so clever. She has such an awesome personality already, is eager to learn everything, and a lover to boot! Thank you so much for this very loved and cherished new family member, we are so honored to have a Top Gun Springer!  :)

Rambo: at work with mom

Sophie Maverick 2009-Tiny Tim's story:  Tiny Tim, is an extremely small pup. The night he was born, I had gone to sleep thinking Sophie was done and my husband checked on them one last time at about 3 AM. When he came to bed I asked him how they were and he said, "fine but I think there is one about the size of my finger!" I thought now way, but I jumped up to check and sure enough, there he was, he weighed 4 ounces compared to the usual 10-12 ouncers we usually have. Well, I was not sure he would make it so I just kept a close eye on him and the entire litter. He is now almost 9 weeks old, he weighs 6 pounds 12 ounces and is such an awesome little guy. In the 18 years of breeding, this has never happened but he is a cutie and oh so tough! He has a wonderful new home nearby so I get to watch him grow. He has 2 great boys and another Top Gun puppy to play with and love him! We will keep updated on him for sure.

Maverick and Ruby-2009

Tori-

I just wanted to give you a brief update on Tori (aka Blossom).  Her official name is Queen Victoria Ann, but we call her Tori.  She is 11 weeks old - already - and just had her first visit to the vet.  She got an excellent report and the staff at Pleasant Valley just fell in love with her!  We love her too!  She has adjusted extremely well to her new home and she and our other springer, Charlie, are the best of friends!  She follows him everywhere and does everything he does - that's a good thing because he is teaching her all the RIGHT things to do.  They are really cute together but I must say that Tori, your sweet little female known as Blossom, has total control!  She drives Charlie crazy bitting and climbing all over him.  He is so patient, especially when she takes his toys and bones.  He never reacts - just like a big brother, he gives in to her every time! They have brought so much joy to our lives.  Thank you so much for our little darling.
