Deposit Policy
We will accept deposits on puppies for current or upcoming litters on a limited basis. Our deposit is a non-refundable amount of $100 which goes toward the purchase price of the pup. If there is no pup matching your requirement, we will apply the deposit to the next available litter. If for any reason you are not quite ready for a pup when one is available, you can also hold your deposit for up to two years. When we receive your deposit you will be placed on a list according to your preference of sex, color, and hunting or companion dog, and date received. We will then keep you updated as to the status of the litter via email. We will post pictures of the litter and pups at about a week old and then updated weekly. If you chose one from the baby photos, and that one isn't already picked then that is the one you will take home at 8 weeks. If there is only one of your desired sex, color, and you are first on the list for that, then that pup will be reserved for you. If at anytime a pup is picked by the buyer, that pup will not be shown to potential buyers. If you would like to come to pick out your pup, you may do so at about 5-7 weeks of age. We ask that you choose your pup as early as possible so the next person in line may choose their pup as well. We will work with you as much as we can to make sure you get the pup you want. Always send as much information about your self and contact information as possible so we can keep you informed as well a fit you with the right pup. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call us at: 530-477-7254. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone we do not wish to sell a puppy to. We also reserve the right to choose a puppy for a family if we feel that pup better suits their needs.
Pick-up Policy
We welcome visitors after 6 weeks of age and by appointment only. No pup will be released before 8 weeks of age. We ask that all buyers understand this and adhere to this timeline, as this is for the protection of the pups. Buyers with deposits may come to pick out their pup at 6-7 weeks of age but must wait to take him/her home until 8 weeks of age. At 8 weeks old, we begin placing pups and therefore need people with deposits to have already chosen their pup. If pup is being shipped, we will wait until 10 weeks of age to ship the pup. Our experience with shipping has been to fly with the pup as a carry-on in a small soft-sided crate. The buyer can fly to meet us or we can fly with the pup to you. This is the only way we will deliver a pup more that a few states away. If the pup is being hand-delivered arrangements will be made in advance.

Health Guarantee/
Puppy Sales Contract
The buyer has 5 working days according to this Health Guarantee Contract to have a licensed veterinarian examine the puppy. If he/she finds any life-threatening genetic defects or life-threatening illness, the buyer may exchange the puppy for one of equal value or a full refund after the return of the puppy with a vet statement. The buyer agrees to pay any fees associated with the return of the puppy, as well as any fee associated with an exchange of a puppy.
After the 5 day expiration period the dog is guaranteed for 1 year and may be replaced if a life threatening genetic defect is found and supported by a veterinarian statement.
Buyer understands that the following slight genetic defects are not considered serious or life threatening, and therefore is not covered: umbilical hernia, cherry eye, allergies, undescended testicle, underbite or overbite. Buyer understands that replacement option is only valid when health problems are attributed to a hereditary problem and not due to accident or contagious and/or other illness.
This guarantee will be null and void if documented and/or verified veterinarian visits and records are not maintained. This guarantee is non-transferable and only applies to the original buyer named above. We reserve the right to have the puppy examined by a veterinarian of our choice at our expense if in the rare occurrence; any claims are made against us under the terms in this contract. Buyer must provide us with any vet records,
test results and x-rays that have been done to date on the puppy in question. This guarantee will be null and void if puppy is bred before its first birthday (12 months of age). We are not responsible for the health of any offspring of this puppy if you choose to breed him/her. You understand that we will not be responsible for any of your vet bills after the first 5 days if something happens to your puppy other than what is covered in this guarantee.
Hip Dysplasia Guarantee:
In the unlikely event that a puppy is suspected of being Dysplastic in its first year, we will guarantee a replacement puppy as long as this procedure is followed:
1. Notify us by telephone or letter within 10 business days of the diagnosis.
2. The OFA must find the dog to be "Severely Dysplastic".
3. Send us vet statement detailing that the dog has had x-rays, is not over weight for its height and structure, and that it has obtained regular check-ups.
4. The x-ray must have been taken within the first year of age.
5. The dog must have never been bred.
6. The dog must be in the care of the original buyer.
7. The seller has the right to have a second opinion from his/her own vet of choice at the buyer’s expense.
8. Any returned animals must be in good health other than the specified problem. All shipping on returned animal and replacement is the responsibility of the purchaser.
After meeting the above criteria you may choose a replacement puppy of equal quality out of any of our litters, subject to availability. If you choose to replace the puppy with a more expensive puppy the buyer is responsible for the difference in cost. No additional health guarantee will be issued on the replacement puppy. If you choose to keep the defective pup, it is agreed that it will be kept as a pet will not be used for breeding. Any veterinarian expenses will be the sole responsibility of the buyer and no further guarantee coverage applies.
Vaccinations and General Health Information:
The above puppy has had first vaccination shots against parvovirus, parainfluenza, adenovirus, distemper, and coronovirus (see puppy data sheet). We also have pups on a deworming schedule. We feed Purina puppy chow mixed with formula for the first 4 weeks on solid food and gradually decrease the liquid so that by 8-10 weeks of age they can easily ingest dry puppy chow. All pups are weaned at 8 weeks of age or before. Depending on the litter, buyer may need to continue to add fluid to the dry food. We will include a Puppy Data Sheet with a record of all health related stats. We will also provide information on the care and training of your new puppy.
